Welcome FAMILY & FRIENDS!!
Thanks so much for taking an interest in my new blog! Or at least for taking the time to check it out even if this is the only time you come - though I'd LOVE to see you back and read your awesome comments or constructive criticism. :)
I know I update facebook constantly, but I am borrowing this blog idea from my friends Brooke & Tim who just started their blog based on their big move out of state & friends Val & Jessie who are blogging about their trip to Australia - how jealous are we?!
My first order of business . . . update for this past CRAZY week.
5 scheduled interviews -
2 interviews Monday morning
1 interview Wednesday afternoon
another was scheduled for today (Thursday) but rescheduled for Monday
1 scheduled this weekend
It was an exhausting week as I continued working my full-time position during all of these and they were all pretty far distances (Red Wing, Zumbrota, River Falls). I was offered 3 positions already (one of which I interviewed for awhile back) but for one reason or another they didn't work with our schedules, were too far to commute each day (55 minutes one way), or didn't pay nearly enough to cover bills! Needless to say, the search is still on! And the crazy week lives on! Tomorrow we finish packing after work. Saturday I have that interview in Red Wing then we move the fridge for the garage sale, Mike's massive work bench, and a few other large items with his parents, and finish our Saturday making a fun snack with the Fischer's for all our wonderful family and friends that are helping us move on Sunday! We are going to miss all of you so very much - especially you Chunky Monkey (my nephew Kaleb) & Laura!
For those of you that haven't heard or don't know I am interviewing for places because Mike and I are returning to school August 22nd and we are moving our things this Sunday to our new apartment in Red Wing. I will be living up here with family (thanks dad!) until I find a job as my program is online so I don't need to physically be in Red Wing. I will be going back for Medical Administration and Mike will be returning to school for Guitar Building and Repair - both programs are at Southeast Technical College. We both earned our Bachelors degrees from UW-River Falls and while working professionally for the past few years in our degree-related-fields we both decided we wanted some thing more (Mike) or different (Me).
Another fairly recent change is a new hobby I have taken up - baking! Some of you have seen the pictures and are so gracious to comment or for those of you that have tried some of my baked goodies, complimented. Thank you to all my baking supporters!! As Mike and I move into our new place we will be doing much more baking in our big kitchen and we can't wait.
Well as you all know, I could go on forever - but I think this is good for now.
Thanks again for visiting and please leave a comment, request, or question. Anything you'd like!
I'll try to update as much as my free time allows me.
XOXO
I'll keep reading so keep posting sweet pea - tulip :)
